The Swan Food Company is hiring for a full-time maintenance technician in Kentucky. You will perform preventive maintenance and repairs on conveyor systems and production equipment, ensuring reliable operation and minimal downtime.

SAP is used to document work orders and coordinate with operations. Ideal candidates have 3+ years of related experience, a high school diploma or GED (two-year trade degree preferred), and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct preventive maintenance and troubleshoot conveyor systems and food production machinery to minimize downtime.
• Perform mechanical repairs (shaft keying, broaching, gear head replacement, welding, hose fabrication, belt maintenance).
• Assist with setup, teardown, welding, fabrication, and installation of plant machinery.
• Diagnose mechanical issues via observation, auditory cues, and precision tools; identify root causes.
• Use SAP to document maintenance activities and coordinate with production teams.

Shift Differential: $1.50 shift differential from 6 p.m. – 6 a.m.

What You Will Do:

• Conduct advanced preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on conveyor systems and food production machinery to ensure reliable operation and minimize downtime.
• Perform complex mechanical repairs including shaft keying, sprocket broaching, gear head replacement, stainless steel welding, hydraulic hose fabrication, and belt maintenance using specialized tools and equipment.
• Assist with equipment setup, teardown, welding, fabrication, and installation of new or modified plant machinery to support production needs.
• Diagnose mechanical issues through observation, auditory assessment, and use of precision measuring instruments, and effectively identifying and resolving root causes.
• Utilize SAP software to document maintenance activities, track work orders, and communicate effectively with production and operations teams to optimize workflow.

What You Will Bring:

• High school diploma or GED; two‑year degree in specialized maintenance trade preferred.
• 3+ years of related experience.
• Work different ranges of hours such as full‑time, overtime, or weekend shifts.
• Basic to advanced mechanical knowledge, electrical and building skills.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
