Base pay range

$22.50/hr - $22.50/hr

Position Summary

Following our roots as a family-owned and operated business for the past half-century, Paraco is leading with numerous initiatives, including our state-of-the-art production line in Waterbury, CT. As a Maintenance Technician II, you will be vital to our production line and facility maintenance in Waterbury and other locations where we have propane tank refurbishment operations. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will collaborate with other maintenance technicians to ensure the safe and reliable operation of our production line and facilities.

Key responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to:

1. Performing light maintenance, supply management, cleaning, and special projects related to our production line and facilities, under the observation of senior technicians.
2. Light Maintenance:
   • Greasing and oiling equipment/conveyors
   • Cleaning internal components of equipment
   • Internal washer cleaning
   • Propane pump system daily maintenance
   • Air compressor maintenance (daily/weekly/monthly)
   • Replacing wearable parts
3. Janitorial and cleaning duties as needed, including running floor scrubbers and rust removal/paining of equipment.
4. Supply management and other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Basic troubleshooting, problem-solving, and diagnostic skills.
• Experience with hand tools, power tools, and test equipment preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret data from meters, gauges, and computer consoles.
• Completion of proactive maintenance tasks promptly.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• High School Diploma, GED, or vocational training in electrical, mechanical, or plumbing fields.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds, and perform physical tasks such as bending, climbing, reaching, and twisting.
• Strong work ethic, enthusiasm, and resourcefulness.
• Effective communication skills with customers and co-workers.
