Qualifications

Under the direction of the Service Director and Real Estate Manager, the Service Technician II is responsible for performing general maintenance, groundskeeping, and housekeeping services to ensure excellent curb appeal and quality of apartment homes, along with responding to customer service requests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintenance Services:

• Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, inspections, and janitorial services as assigned.
• Assist with maintenance of storage areas and materials.
• Refurbish and renovate apartments according to company standards.
• Walk the property daily to ensure curb appeal and quality of apartments.
• Notify the RE Manager of safety concerns and participate in safety meetings.
• Maintain knowledge of property-specific issues such as asbestos.
• Assist with snow removal as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Maintain accurate records of all tasks completed.
• Troubleshoot appliances, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Assist with inventory management of supplies.

Customer Service:

• Complete all service requests in accordance with company standards.
• Be available for weekend work, on-call duties, and after-hours emergency services, 24/7 as scheduled.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• CFC Type I & II or EPA 608 Universal certification may be required.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• At least 1-2 years of maintenance experience.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Ability to walk the grounds and apartments, climb stairs, lift up to 60 lbs., climb ladders no higher than 10 feet, and perform physical activities such as bending, kneeling, and pushing.
• Sufficient knowledge to perform maintenance assessments to Service Technician II standards.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
