Job summary

Novo Nordisk in Clayton, NC is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to improve system and equipment reliability on assigned processes. The role focuses on reducing downtime and supporting operations across the production line.

The ideal candidate will have an Associate's degree or equivalent, 1–5 years of relevant experience, and be proficient with SAP and reading schematics. The job requires rotating and night shifts, with potential for career growth.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or equivalent training in mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
• 1-5 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledgeable in one or more process areas listed.
• Experience with automated records systems such as SAP preferred.
• Proficiency in reading schematics, wiring diagrams and other technical documents.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety and environmental requirements in the performance of duties.
• Follow SOPs in performance of assigned duties.
• Support the development and establishment of maintenance procedures, maintenance plans and spare parts lists for processes assigned.
• Perform corrective and preventative maintenance on assigned process in a timely manner.
• Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical specifications, drawings and other technical data sheets.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, night shifts, extended shifts, and/or weekends.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are correctly documented in SAP.
• Partner with process owners to actively improve performance and reliability of process equipment.
• Contribute to growth and development of the maintenance team by training fellow technicians and learning new systems.
• Use Systematic Problem Solving tools to establish root cause analysis and resolve equipment issues.
• Suggest practical changes or improvements to equipment and department work practices.
• Collaborate with Responsible Engineers and Manufacturing personnel to troubleshoot equipment problems.
• Other accountabilities as assigned.
