Job summary

Millennia Housing Management, Ltd. is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to coordinate tasks and supplies to prepare vacant units for re-occupancy and support the maintenance team on special projects.

Responsibilities include upkeep of exteriors, common areas, and on-site surroundings, with focus on safety and quality for move-in readiness. The role requires basic maintenance knowledge, ability to operate power tools, and strong customer service and communication skills.

Qualifications

• One year minimum of prior maintenance experience.
• Reliable transportation to safely and effectively carry out responsibilities.
• Willingness and ability to travel; generally 1-3 days maximum, may occur weekly.
• Excellent communication skills, including verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Clean/restore recently vacated apartment homes.
• Help maintain the cleanliness of the facility and grounds.
• Change bulbs, locks/keys.
• Must be able to install or assist with the installation of appliances.
• Exterior/Interior painting and caulking, light drywall repair.
• Ability to physically manage painting, pressure washing, blower breezeways, and parking lots.
• Walkthrough upcoming or newly vacant units to forecast repairs.
• Walk completed units to create “punch” lists or quality control checklists.
• Assist with the removal of trash or belongings in vacant units.
• Perform quality control on all systems, appliances, and aesthetics to ensure move-in standards.
• Assist in prepping units for painting by breaking down and putting back of electrical and switch plates and other items.
• Assist with the diagnosis and minor maintenance/repair, including electrical and plumbing (water lines).
• A/C and heating systems (both electric and gas); electric and gas appliances (washers, dryers, stoves, ovens, refrigerators, water heaters).
