Job summary

Veolia in North America is seeking a maintenance technician to perform maintenance, installation and repairs across a range of equipment and facilities. You will learn to troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, inspect equipment and replace worn parts, while supporting safe operations and on-site tasks.

The role requires basic math, basic CMMS usage, and the ability to work as part of a team in a hands-on environment with exposure to outdoor conditions and varying shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with ability to read, write and comprehend English.
• 6 months to 2 years of experience in a related position.
• Experience using power, pneumatic, hydraulic, and hand tools and shop tools such as drill press, band saw, bench grinder, and torque wrench preferred.
• Experience using material handling equipment, pressure gauges and precision measuring instruments.

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance and repairs on machines and equipment.
• Inspects and troubleshoots mechanical systems and replaces defective parts.
• Maintains facilities and may replace light fixtures, glass, doors, floors or paint.
• Operates company vehicles as required and assists with on-site tasks.
• Assists in estimating time and material costs for projects.
