Job summary

Veolia is seeking a maintenance technician to perform routine and preventive maintenance on a range of plant equipment, including pumps, engines and conveyors. You will inspect, troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems to keep operations running smoothly.

The role requires hands-on skills, the ability to read blueprints and manuals, and a willingness to work in diverse environments with occasional on-call duties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6 months to 2 years of related maintenance experience.
• Experience with power, pneumatic, hydraulic and hand tools preferred.
• Experience with material handling equipment, gauges and measuring instruments.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on pumps, engines, valves and conveyors.
• Inspect and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems; report issues to supervisor.
• Dismantle and reassemble equipment for repairs and testing; ensure safe operation.
• Estimate time and material costs for projects; assist in other plant areas as needed.
