Job summary

Montage International is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to perform journey level skilled carpentry and a variety of technical tasks across the property. You will support the engineering team and contribute to the hotel’s goals while ensuring safety and guest satisfaction.

The role involves light carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, pool and spa maintenance, and preventative care. Strong English communication is required, with opportunities for advancement to Maintenance Technician II

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of one-year job related maintenance experience or engineering.
Minimum of two years’ experience in customer service.
Ability to communicate clearly in English (spoken and written).
Certification from Technical Maintenance Trade School is preferred.
Bachelor's Degree is listed as a possible qualification.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot equipment using proper tools in a skilled craftsman-like manner.
Perform assigned tasks by the Engineering Supervisor and Director of Engineering.
Cover duties of other mechanics when needed (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, etc.).
Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment.
Repair malfunctioning mechanical devices and respond to room repair needs.
Assist in re-keying of facility and guest room support.
