Job summary

Native American Connections is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to support property operations in Phoenix, AZ. The role performs general maintenance, troubleshooting and on-call support to ensure safe, comfortable housing for residents and staff.

This full-time position requires a high school diploma or GED, experience in appliance repair and general maintenance, and a valid driver's license. The team emphasizes quality work, safety, and timely completion of tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of appliance repair experience.
• At least 1 year of apartment and/or general maintenance experience.
• Must have a valid state driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform all general maintenance, repair and general upkeep of NAC facilities and equipment.
• Troubleshoot problems and take appropriate action.
• Control monthly budget on assigned properties.
• Prepare purchase requisitions, purchase materials at low cost, and obtain bids when necessary.
• Maintain inventory on all tools and supplies.
• Prepare turn-key on assigned apartments or rooms within time frame set by Director – usually 72 hours.
• Complete assigned maintenance requests within the time frame set by Director – usually 48 hours.
• Complete electronic work orders in a timely manner.
• Stay current on all applicable building codes and safety standards.
• Will be on-call on a rotation basis and respond to on-call emergencies.
• Other duties as assigned.
