Qualifications

• Ability to read, understand, and apply basic electrical and mechanical schematics, concepts, and principles
• Understanding of building systems including plumbing, electrical, lighting, and plant air/cooling systems
• Ability to identify sanitary drain systems and grease traps
• Knowledge of power isolation devices and fuses, lamps, breakers, and switches
• Understanding of refrigeration theory and glycol levels
• Ability to operate shop equipment (grinders, drills, saws, threaders)
• Knowledge of how to replace cylinders, valves, pumps, and rebuild hydraulic cylinders
• Experience with PM and cleaning condenser/evaporator units
• Ability to work in wet/cold/hot environments and in rotating shifts

Responsibilities

• Maintains manufacturing processes and equipment in optimum condition
• Applies team-oriented approach and safety training
• Operates various equipment including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and welding tasks
• Repairs and rebuilds components per manuals and parts lists
• Inspects systems for leaks, monitors pressures/temperatures, and ensures proper ratios of glycol
• Performs preventive maintenance on chill water and production cooling units
• Complies with OSHA lock-out/tag-out and other safety protocols
• Duties may be modified based on business needs
