Job summary

Veolia in North America is hiring a Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance, installation or repairs in plumbing, mechanical, electrical and related systems. You will learn to troubleshoot equipment, estimate time and material costs, and support safety and reliability goals.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and 6 months to 2 years in a related role, plus familiarity with power, pneumatic and hydraulic tools and shop equipment.

Qualifications

• High school or GED with ability to read, write and comprehend English and follow instructions.
• 6 months to 2 years of related maintenance experience.
• Experience using power, pneumatic, hydraulic and hand tools preferred.
• Familiarity with meters, gauges and manual reading is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on machines and equipment including pumps, engines and conveyors.
• Dismantle, repair and reassemble equipment; troubleshoot mechanical issues.
• Perform facility maintenance such as lighting, painting, and minor repairs.
• Operate and maintain safety practices; use PPE and follow environmental policies.
• Support time and material cost estimation for projects.
