The Maintenance Technician I inspects, maintains, repairs and installs mechanical and electro-mechanical equipment at plants and pump stations, performing tasks with minimal oversight.

Responsibilities include operating centrifuges, dump trucks, sewer jet equipment, and performing preventative maintenance while adhering to safety policies.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED with ability to read and comprehend English and follow instructions.
• 6 months to 2 years of related experience with ability to read specs and manuals.
• Experience using power, pneumatic, hydraulic, and hand tools; familiarity with shop tools.
• Ability to read specifications, blueprints and manuals; valid driver's license.

Aufgaben

• Operate centrifuge and drive a 10 ton dump truck and sewer jet truck.
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance, lubrication and minor adjustments on machines.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic and electronic equipment and replace worn parts as needed.
• Inspect facilities and perform repairs such as lighting, doors, floors and fixtures.
• Cover on-call rotation for water and wastewater plants.
