Job summary

Veolia in North America seeks a Maintenance Technician to perform skilled repair, installation and preventive maintenance on pumps, valves and mechanical systems at plant and pump sites. You will read specs, use hand and power tools, and work in a safety-conscious team environment.

The role requires High school diploma or GED, 6 months to 2 years related experience, ability to operate CMMS, and willingness to be on-call.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; able to read, write and comprehend English and follow instructions.
• 6 months to 2 years experience in a related maintenance position; read specifications, blueprints and manuals.
• Experience using power, pneumatic, hydraulic, and hand tools; proficiency with shop equipment and testing devices.
• Ability to operate a CMMS and maintain records.
• HVAC, welding or related trades may be required at site.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on pumps and equipment.
• Inspect, diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Install, replace and calibrate pumps, valves and related components.
• Maintain facilities and assist with on-call emergency response.
• Operate company vehicles and follow safety and environmental policies.
• Follow lockout/tagout and other safety procedures.
