Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a Maintenance Technician I in Fayetteville, NC. You will handle repairs, maintenance, installation and troubleshooting of industrial equipment, systems and components in a Monday–Friday environment with overtime as needed.

Qualifications include a HS diploma or GED, a preferred two-year technical degree, and at least 6 months of relevant experience. Proficiency in blueprints, maintenance literature in English, and MS Office is expected.

Qualifications

• Read blueprints and schematics.
• Ability to read and understand maintenance literature in English.
• Minimum 6 months’ experience repairing industrial processing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain industrial equipment, systems and components.
• Troubleshoot equipment using testing devices and measurements.
• Perform boiler and wastewater system testing and adjust chemicals as needed.
• Conduct safety checks on boilers and systems and perform repairs as required.
• Record meter readings and take corrective actions when necessary.
• Use a Computerized Maintenance Management System to log activities.
