Job summary

Canterbury Woods Retirement Community in Pacific Grove, CA, is seeking a Temporary Full-Time Facilities & Maintenance role. The position pays $24.00-$30.00 per hour and runs Monday-Friday under supervision of the Manager of Building Services and/or Director of Maintenance.

The role involves installing, maintaining, painting, and repairing facility machinery and structures, handling resident work orders, and performing preventative maintenance. Safety, PPE usage, and documentation are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience with basic maintenance tasks preferred.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and use PPE as required.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, paint, and repair facility machinery and structures.
• Complete resident work orders for repairs and painting in accommodations and common areas.
• Perform preventative maintenance on mechanical equipment and inspect components.
• Clean and inspect boilers; manage water treatment chemicals.
• Maintain records of scheduled maintenance procedures.
• Follow safety standards and report hazards to supervisor.
