Job summary

Guilford Technical Community College (GTCC) is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to support the college facilities across multiple campus sites. This role provides skilled maintenance services that improve reliability and safety of the campus environment.

Responsibilities include performing preventative and corrective maintenance, complying with safety procedures, operating hand and power tools, and assisting with emergency responses as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 5 years’ experience in an apprenticeship or helper capacity, OR completion of a college accredited building technology program with 2 years’ experience.
• Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled maintenance support across multiple campus sites.
• Follow safety procedures and operate power and hand tools as required.
