Job summary

Plymouth Tube Company is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to support the Salisbury facility by installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery, pipe and electrical systems in accordance with work instructions and safety practices.

The Technician will inspect equipment, troubleshoot faults, perform preventive maintenance, and assist in optimizing equipment reliability to reduce downtime. A two-year certificate and up to two years of related experience are required.

Qualifications

• Requires a two-year certificate from college or technical school, with zero to two years related experience.
• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures in industrial maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment.
• Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
• Repairs and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
• Installs, programs, or repairs automated machinery and equipment such as robots or programmable controllers.
• Sets up and operates machine tools to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs and fixtures, and tools.
• Performs preventive maintenance on specified machinery according to preventive maintenance program.
