Job summary

Richman Property Services, Inc. is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician I at The Exchange in Saint Petersburg, FL. You will perform daily repair and upkeep of the property and prepare vacant units for occupancy, with on-call duties.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of maintenance or groundskeeping experience, proficiency in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, and owns basic tools. A valid driver's license and EPA 608 Type I/II or Universal preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of maintenance or groundskeeping experience.
• Proficiency in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, etc.
• Own basic tools as allowed by state laws.
• Knowledge of Fair Housing Laws.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily repair and upkeep of the property
• Prepare vacant units for occupancy within established deadlines
• Manage service requests and ensure timely completion
• Maintain compliance with OSHA standards and The Clean Air Act
• Oversee inventory and care of tools and equipment
• Complete required tasks such as training, logs, and reports in a timely manner
• Uphold company policies and provide exceptional customer service
• Seek educational opportunities for personal growth and development
• Assist in the property's preventative maintenance plan
• Collaborate on maintaining curb appeal and cleanliness of buildings and grounds
• Perform on-call duties and occasional overtime

Education:

• High school diploma or GED; industry-related courses preferred

Experience:

• Minimum of two (2) years of maintenance and general repair experience, or Groundskeeper experience
• Proficiency in maintenance tasks including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, etc.
• Must own basic tools as allowed by state laws
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws, including Fair Housing Laws
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently

Skills & Certifications:

• EPA Section 608 Type I and II or Universal Technician license strongly preferred
• Valid Driver's License required
• Proficient in English for communication and record-keeping purposes
