Job summary

Dream Live Prosper Communities is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our affordable rental communities in top condition and ready for resident turnover. You will handle HVAC, plumbing, electrical, painting, and miscellaneous repairs, while ensuring safety and quality across both older and newer buildings.

The role requires hands-on problem solving, strong communication with residents and vendors, and the ability to manage on-call shifts and 5-day turns.

Qualifications

• HVAC certification required.
• Extensive sheetrock repair experience; repair, patch, finish, match sheetrock.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional service to residents, exceeding expectations.
• Address resident maintenance and service requests promptly.
• Identify and resolve hazardous property conditions.
• Prepare vacant apartments for move-in within 5 days, including repairs and replacements.
• Perform maintenance tasks including HVAC, painting, electrical, plumbing, and appliance repairs.
• Maintain grounds and ensure cleanliness.
• Respond to emergency calls when on-call.
• Implement cost-saving initiatives and manage budgets effectively.
• Respond to resident requests within 24 hours.
• Manage service team hours, focus, and on-call schedule.
• Provide mentorship and coaching to team members.
• Maintain a well-stocked maintenance shop and streamline purchasing processes.
• Perform technician and groundskeeper duties as needed.
