Job summary

Timberland Partners is seeking a Maintenance Technician for Legacy Village in Springfield, TN. You will handle routine and preventive maintenance, prepare vacants for move-in, and ensure cleanliness and safety across the community.

The role features a Monday–Friday schedule (8 AM–5 PM) with occasional on-call rotation and additional pay. HVAC certification and city regulations knowledge are important for the job.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of general maintenance experience.
• EPA universal HVAC license required (or willingness to obtain within 90 days).
• Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations.
• HVAC certification preferred; ability to troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and major appliances (washer/dryer).
• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred; college-level or trade school preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency preferred.
• Bilingual language skills a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders and other community maintenance.
• Maintain community appearance at or above quality standards, including trash removal and cleaning buildings and amenities.
• Identify and report needed maintenance and liability hazards to the Manager.
• Prepare vacant apartments for move-in.
• Follow the make-ready board and manager directions for vacant apartments.
• Make all repairs and replacements necessary for an apartment to be occupied.
• Work odd schedules and be on call as required.
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
