Job summary

NewCastle Management Group in Charlottesville, VA is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support a Class A property. You will perform ongoing facility maintenance and repairs across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, sheetrock, and appliance systems to ensure safety and comfort for residents.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of residential maintenance experience, is willing to obtain HVAC and CPO certifications within six months, and holds reliable transportation with a valid

Qualifications

• 2 years of maintenance experience in a residential community or similar.
• HVAC and CPO certifications required or willing to obtain within first 6 months of employment.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
• General maintenance knowledge across plumbing, electrical, sheetrock and appliance repair.

Responsibilities

• Complete apartment work orders and turnovers.
• Perform general carpentry including wallboard repair, countertop/cabinet replacement, finish carpentry, window/glass repair, door/lock repair, and ceramic tile repair.
• Maintain and repair appliances, plumbing, minor HVAC issues, and electrical work.
• Assist in maintenance and upkeep of communal areas, property buildings, and pool maintenance.
• Complete preventative maintenance to ensure everything is in working order.
• Provide exceptional customer service to our clients.
• Monitors and organizes inventory and supplies.
• Pick up and deliver supplies as needed.
• Power washing and snow removal at the property as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
