Job summary

Kroger Co. is seeking an entry-level maintenance assistant to support daily repair work and help keep equipment running safely at our Clackamas, OR facility.

You will assist mechanics, conduct parts runs, and perform preventive maintenance while complying with safety policies. Qualities include basic math, adherence to instructions, willingness to work varied shifts, and a readiness to learn with on-the-job training.

Qualifications

• Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
• Able to follow written or verbal instructions precisely.
• Able to work weekends, overtime, and any shift.
• Must be able to travel independently.
• High school education or GED plus one year mechanical experience.

Responsibilities

• Review repair log and prepare jobs.
• Assist mechanics in repairs.
• Conduct parts runs.
• Change and service motive batteries.
• Install, repair and replace racking.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
