Opti Staffing is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Clackamas, OR. The role involves hands-on maintenance of production equipment, troubleshooting electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, and reading schematics to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Maintenance Technician Position: Maintenance Technician Location: Clackamas, OR Pay: $25–35+/hr DOE Schedule: 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, or swing/night shifts available

Who We Are

Opti Staffing is hiring a Maintenance Technician for a growing food production and distribution operation in Clackamas. This is a hands‑on maintenance position supporting production equipment and helping keep operations running safely and efficiently. There is lots of room for growth, including additional training with PLCs and equipment‑specific electrical and mechanical systems.

What You’ll Do

Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair equipment in the assigned area. Work with electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems. Read and interpret electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics. Assist machine operators with morning assembly and setup of equipment. Perform and document preventative maintenance. Keep detailed records of maintenance and repairs. Troubleshoot equipment issues and make necessary repairs to minimize downtime. Complete general maintenance duties and other tasks as assigned. Complete required training related to HACCP, SSOPs, GMPs, SOPs, Food Safety, Food Defense, personal safety, and other applicable procedures. Participate in additional training involving PLCs and equipment‑specific electrical/mechanical systems.

What You Need to Have

• Experience with industrial maintenance, equipment repair, or a related field.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics.
• Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Comfortable working under pressure in a fast‑paced production environment.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule occasionally to support maintenance projects.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
