Qualifications

• Two years of full-time maintenance or mechanical work experience.
• Or completion of a 2-year technical trades program (NYS CSEA-P).
• Equivalent mix of experience and training.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine replacement and repair of plumbing and steamfitting equipment and installation of new equipment.
• Performs semiskilled carpentry activities such as repairing doors, windows, and furniture; erecting and renovating structures.
• Performs semiskilled masonry repairs: tiling, brickwork, plaster, concrete finishing, and related activity.
• Assists in painting and decorating work, staining, finishing wood, wallpaper installation, and spray painting surfaces.
• Performs routine electrical tasks: wiring, lighting, switches, and electrical equipment maintenance.
