Job summary

Avenue5 Residential is seeking a Maintenance Technician to handle apartment and property maintenance tasks, ensuring safety, curb appeal, and resident satisfaction. You will perform electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general maintenance under supervision, maintaining a high standard of customer service.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of property management experience, plus basic carpentry and maintenance skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of experience in property management or related field.
• General maintenance and general carpentry skills.

Responsibilities

• Address a wide range of apartment/property maintenance tasks.
• Repair electrical, plumbing, appliances, HVAC, flooring, and carpentry.
• Perform carpentry: wallboard, countertops, cabinets, doors.
• Conduct preventative maintenance: siding, painting, lighting.
• Keep work orders updated and completed to standard.
• Inspect grounds and common areas for safety and cleanliness.
• Assist with emergencies (snow, fires, floods) as needed.
• Communicate issues to maintenance leadership promptly.
• Promote safety and risk management per policy.
• Join emergency on-call after-hours as required.
• Maintain curb appeal and professional resident interactions.
• Foster positive relationships with residents and partners.
• Adhere to all components of the risk management program.
