Job summary

Avenue5 Residential in Beaverton, OR is seeking a Maintenance Technician to address apartment and property upkeep while delivering excellent resident service.

You’ll perform repairs across electrical, plumbing, appliances, carpentry, HVAC and grounds, maintain safety standards, and respond to emergencies professionally.

Strong communication, time management and the ability to read English are required; a high school diploma and at least one year of related experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least one year of experience in property management or related field.
• Possess general maintenance and general carpentry skills.
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license, clean driving record and current auto insurance.
• Ability to read, write and understand English.
• Ability to use general office equipment, such as telephone, fax machine, printer, copier, and key track system.

Responsibilities

• Address apartment and property maintenance duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.
• Perform repairs: electrical, plumbing, appliances, flooring, carpentry, HVAC, grounds.
• Conduct preventative maintenance: siding, painting, lighting, sprinkler, pool, elevator.
• Maintain work order system and ensure timely completion to satisfaction.
• Inspect grounds/buildings and address safety/cleanliness issues.
• Assist with property emergencies (snow, fires, floods).
• Communicate maintenance issues to leadership promptly.
• Uphold safety and risk management per rules and regulations.
• Interact professionally with residents and foster positive relations.
