Job summary

ResProp Management seeks a Maintenance Technician to handle work orders, maintenance of common areas, and preparation of vacant apartments at our Austin, TX properties. The role requires skill in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other trades, with safety and resident service at the forefront.

Applicants should have 1+ year in maintenance, own tools, and be able to work a varied schedule including weekends. Benefits include healthcare options and retirement planning as part of a growing team.

Qualifications

• 1+ year general maintenance/repair experience in multifamily or similar
• EPA Type I, II or Universal certification preferred
• Own hand tools and transportation
• Must live within 30 minutes of the community
• Willing to work weekends/holidays; rotating on-call
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Trade licensing preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Respond to and complete work orders promptly and with quality
• Maintain common areas and property systems to keep them clean, safe, and attractive
• Coordinate with Maintenance Supervisor to prioritize daily tasks
• Provide excellent customer service to residents, guests, and vendors
• Prepare vacant apartments for move-in and ensure property readiness
• Identify safety hazards and report or correct them
• Use software to track work and performance
• Support team with a variety of tasks in a dynamic environment
