Job summary

YES Communities seeks a Maintenance Technician to keep our Lawrence community safe, organized, and well-maintained. You will respond to service requests, assist with new home delivery and setup, and help keep grounds and assets in prime condition.

Teamwork is essential as you collaborate with residents, vendors, and management, while following OSHA standards and safety protocols. A valid driver’s license and some refurbishment experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid in-state driver’s license required
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Experience in home refurbishment or make-ready preferred
• HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, or Pool operation experience a plus
• OSHA trainings or certifications are a plus
• Proficiency with industry software and tablets

Responsibilities

• Maintain rental inventory through preventative maintenance, work orders, and home refurbishments
• Keep community grounds, common areas, and vacant lots clean and debris-free
• Complete work in a timely manner while upholding safety standards
• Respond to after-hours calls as per on-call schedule
• Read water meters, identify leaks, and coordinate repairs
• Organize facilities, tools, and equipment
• Assist with new home delivery and setup, report warranty work
• Deliver notices as requested by management
• Participate in safety meetings and uphold OSHA standards
• Operate and maintain company vehicles according to safety rules
• Communicate effectively with team members, vendors, and residents
• Work safely around pets, service animals, and wildlife
• Additional duties as assigned by management
