Job summary

The Georgia Youth Challenge Program (GaYCP) is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the Ft. Stewart campus to perform routine repairs and preventive maintenance, including carpentry, plumbing, HVAC and electrical work, with coordination of local contractors for complex tasks.

Candidate must have a Georgia driver's license, lift up to 25 pounds, and be able to work a flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience in building repairs and maintenance or in the specific area of assignment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine repairs and preventive maintenance for the YCA Ft. Stewart campus and surrounding grounds.
• Carry out routine carpentry, plumbing, HVAC and electrical repairs using power and hand tools.
• Coordinate with local contractors to monitor advanced repairs or installations.
• Maintain grounds and operate a riding lawnmower.
• Maintain maintenance equipment and supplies; basic Microsoft Office skills.
