Job summary

Georgia Northwestern Technical College is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair campus facilities and grounds. The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, working evenings/weekends if needed, and traveling between campuses as required. On-site work is required with no telework option.

Starting salaries vary by Tech level and experience: Tech 1 $38,500; Tech 2 $42,640; Tech 3 $46,800. A valid driver’s license is required and benefits are included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and one year of experience in a skilled trade or building maintenance.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to lift, push, and carry heavy items (50 lbs minimum).
• Ability to work from a ladder when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Performs repairs of buildings and equipment.
• Assist with preventative maintenance procedures on building mechanical equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on grounds equipment.
• Maintains grounds and parking lot repairs.
• Assist with renovation and remodeling projects including plaster/drywall repair and painting.
• Maintains required records and logs.
• Responds to emergency maintenance requests as needed.
