Job summary

POAH Communities is seeking a Maintenance Technician for The Loop at Mattapan Station in Boston, MA. The role supports a transit-oriented development with 135 affordable rentals and 10,000 sq ft of commercial space.

Responsibilities include safety, preventative maintenance, minor repairs, and coordinating make-ready tasks across all units, with a flexible schedule including weekends and on-call shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of apartment maintenance experience.
• HVAC certification preferred but not required.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance may be required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe, secure living environment for residents and staff.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Diagnose and repair minor maintenance issues and make-ready repairs.
• Inspect grounds, assist with make-ready work and safety tasks.
