Job summary

US Waffle Company, Inc. in Hazelwood, MO is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical equipment in a food processing facility, ensuring safety, quality and production goals.

You will read blueprints, perform preventive maintenance, install equipment and provide technical support across the operation, including on-call 24/7. This role reports to the Maintenance Manager and requires teamwork, strong problem-solving skills and adherence to CMMS,

Qualifications

,Must have 2+ years in industrial mechanical maintenance or 4 years in a similar environment.
Vocational/Technical diploma or associate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Read blueprints, schematics (including electrical), wiring diagrams, technical manuals.
Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical systems and equipment.
Disassemble machinery, identify faulty parts, replace, reassemble and test.
Test major subsystems to localize problems with specialized equipment.
Fabricate replacement parts including welding or sheet metal work.
Install new equipment and utilities (electrical, water, gas, etc.).
Maintain records and logs; respond to crisis calls with necessary tools.
Adhere to FDA/USDA, OSHA, GMP policies and Lock-Out Tag-Out procedures.
Participate in continuous improvement programs (5S, Kaizen, lean).
