Job summary

Americare Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Team Member for our Washington, MO community. This full-time role supports resident comfort and safety by performing routine maintenance and preventive upkeep in an Assisted Living environment.

You will work on a team responsible for building and grounds maintenance, safety compliance, and timely repairs to ensure a high-quality living experience for residents.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic knowledge of building maintenance and safety practices.
• Ability to work independently and follow maintenance schedules and instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain buildings and grounds in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.
• Perform routine maintenance including painting, plumbing, electrical, wiring, and general repairs.
• Maintain furnaces, air conditioners, boilers, and water systems to ensure resident comfort.
• Replace air-conditioner filters and complete monthly maintenance checklists.
• Assist with disaster preparedness and emergency readiness activities.
• Notify management of major repair needs involving lighting, HVAC, plumbing, or building systems.
• Remove snow, ice, debris, and hazards from sidewalks and grounds.
• Oversee landscaping services and assist with lawn care and plant maintenance.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and appropriately.
