Job summary

Hotel Blackhawk in Davenport, IA is seeking a Maintenance Tech to keep facility equipment and systems running smoothly. You will perform inspections, troubleshoot malfunctions, and carry out timely repairs to minimize downtime while supporting preventive maintenance programs.

The role requires reading manuals and schematics, basic electrical, mechanical, and plumbing knowledge, and a valid driver’s license to travel between sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar role.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between job sites as needed.
• Technical certification or vocational training in maintenance, electrical, HVAC, or related fields.
• Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Familiarity with safety standards such as OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery, HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and other facility equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and structural issues promptly to minimize operational disruptions.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory to support compliance and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with management and other departments to prioritize maintenance tasks and support facility improvement projects.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies while performing all maintenance activities.
