Job summary

Grand Continent Hotels Iowa LLC in Council Bluffs seeks a reliable Maintenance Technician to keep our facilities running smoothly. You will perform routine maintenance, inspect for damage, and address issues across HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a strong work ethic with good communication, time management, and attention to detail. On-call nights and weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of heating and air conditioning units, plumbing systems, and electrical systems.
• Advanced understanding of maintenance equipment, procedures, and techniques.
• Available to be on call and respond to maintenance requests on nights and weekends.
• Excellent work ethic, communication skills, time management skills, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine maintenance on equipment and systems such as HVAC units, plumbing fixtures, and electrical wiring to make sure they’re operating efficiently and make any needed repairs
• Inspect the building for any structural damage to windows, doors, and walls and perform necessary repairs
• Keep a record of completed repairs and when the equipment was last serviced
• Develop and execute preventative maintenance measures to keep our equipment operating efficiently and prevent any safety risks
• Handle additional maintenance tasks as needed
