Job summary

Volunteers of America Northern California & Northern Nevada, Inc. seeks a Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair campus facilities, ensuring safe and compliant operations for residents and staff.

You will perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry tasks, document work, and collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor to meet program goals and HQS standards.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in multi-site facilities or maintenance operations.
• Familiar with property management software, Microsoft 365, and project management tools.
• Ability to perform plumbing, electrical, and basic carpentry skills.
• Ability to meet the organization’s insurance carrier guidelines and hold a CA driver’s license.
• CPR/First Aid certification required within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair interior/exterior program sites to code standards.
• Perform preventive maintenance on heating/air conditioning systems.
• Repair plumbing, electrical, and carpentry as needed.
• Inspect safety equipment and ensure HQS compliance.
• Document maintenance records and coordinate with supervisor.
• Assist with scheduling and prioritizing work.
• Communicate with administration and residents as required.
