Job summary

Volunteers of America Northern California and Northern Nevada seeks a Maintenance Technician for the Singles Program at the Mather Community Campus. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, repairs, and safety across program sites, with an emphasis on quality service and compliance with HQS standards.

You will work under the Maintenance Supervisor, perform plumbing/electrical/basic carpentry tasks, and ensure timely turnovers and safety inspections.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience working at multi-site facilities or maintenance operations required.
• Must be familiar with property management software, Microsoft 365, and project management tools.
• CPR/First Aid certification is required within 90 days of employment.
• Valid California driver’s license and ability to meet insurance carrier guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for preventive maintenance of building heating/air conditioning units, maintenance of interior/exterior common areas, renovating residential areas for residents, repairing unit deficiencies as they occur, and general inspection of building perimeter and facility grounds.
• Maintain interior and exterior program site conditions to meet codes and keep equipment in safe working order.
• Maintain plumbing and electrical services, repair fixtures and lighting, and support common areas, offices, apartments and recreation spaces.
• Assist with scheduling of maintenance, inventory control, and keeping records for inspections and safety.
