Job summary

Woda Cooper is seeking a Service Technician for Woodward Way in East Lansing, MI. You will perform general and emergency maintenance, maintain a safe and clean community, and interact with residents to ensure a high-quality living experience.

The role requires readiness for after-hours emergencies, physical ability to climb ladders, lift up to 50 pounds, and a commitment to safety and confidentiality. The position supports an employee-owned ESOP environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to read and speak English and follow oral and written directions.
• Previous experience in maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain positive interactions with residents and the public to enhance the community image.
• Perform general and emergency maintenance of apartments and common areas.
• Create and maintain a customer-centered service culture with prospects, residents, family members and fellow staff.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
• Maintain an attractive community appearance and curb appeal.
• Perform turnover of apartments including cleaning, painting, carpet shampooing, and repairs as needed.
• Identify maintenance problems and take action to address hazards.
• Be available and on-call for emergencies after hours, weekends, or holidays.
