Valmont Industries in Houston, TX is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the Coatings Division. This role focuses on preventive and repair maintenance, learning metal fabrication, and basic electrical tasks. You will work under supervision, use PPE, and support safety and Lean initiatives.

Ideal candidates have 0–1 year of relevant experience, a mechanical mindset, and basic MS Office skills. Expect a 1st shift, Monday–Friday schedule with overtime as needed, and opportunities for growth within

Qualifications

• 0–1 year of relevant experience.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to read and follow English instructions.
• Basic knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to operate powered industrial trucks, aerial platforms and bridge cranes.
• Safety training incl. arc flash, confined space and fall protection.

Responsibilities

• Assist with electrical work.
• Learn basic metal fabrication.
• Communicate with maintenance and production via email, phone, and in person.
• Operate gauging equipment (tape, micrometers, calipers).
• Maintain tools and equipment; support PPE compliance.
• Record labor and repairs in the computer system.
