Job summary

Smithfield Foods in the United States is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our plant running by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of electrical and mechanical equipment in a fast-paced food processing environment.

You will apply expertise in electrical controls, fluid power, welding, and fabrication, perform preventive maintenance, and install systems while meeting safety standards and GMP requirements.

Qualifications

• Industrial mechanical maintenance experience in a food manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Strong problem-solving skills and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Review work orders, prepare tools, and respond to emergencies using SAP.
• Maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Disassemble, repair and fabricate replacement parts as needed.
• Install and maintain systems, equipment and piping per specs.
• Follow Lockout/Tagout and GMP safety protocols.
