Job summary

Kelly Services is seeking skilled Maintenance Technicians for a direct-hire role in Elgin, IL. Responsibilities include maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment in a fast-paced corrugated packaging environment. Shift options include 6am–2pm and 10pm–6am with Saturday OT.

Candidates should have 1–3 years of manufacturing maintenance experience and be proficient with welding and PLC systems. Excellent benefits, paid vacation, and room for advancement are offered.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• Welding and basic fabrication (MIG, TIG, stick).
• Basic PLC troubleshooting experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on corrugators, conveyors, die cutters, and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
• Inspect machinery, identify problems and recommend corrective actions.
• Repair or replace pumps, valves, sensors, bearings and belts.
• Weld, fabricate, and perform basic machining on components.
• Assist with rigging, setups, changeovers, and installations.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and follow safety policies.
• Support continuous improvement, reliability, and team projects.
