Job summary

TekPro is partnering with manufacturers in the Elgin and Bartlett areas to recruit experienced Industrial Maintenance Technicians for 2nd and 3rd shifts. These full-time, direct-hire roles require hands-on maintenance with mechanical and electrical troubleshooting to diagnose problems and keep production running smoothly.

You will work with motors, VFDs, conveyors, pneumatics, hydraulics, sensors, and PLC-controlled equipment, read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings, perform

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance experience on production/packaging equipment.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Experience with motors, VFDs, conveyors, sensors and motor controls.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair production equipment.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on automated machinery, packaging lines, conveyors, motors, and facility systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical failures to minimize downtime.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and equipment manuals.
• Complete equipment changeovers, adjustments, repairs, and installations as needed.
