Job summary

ProAmpac in Elgin, IL is seeking a full-time, highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role requires hands-on expertise with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, and you will perform preventative maintenance on production equipment and facility systems.

You will troubleshoot, repair, and optimize machines, maintain documentation, and communicate with the Maintenance Lead and Manager.

Qualifications

Minimum 10 years of hands-on maintenance experience.
Proficient with PLCs, Drives and Schematics.
Proficient with test instruments and power tools.
Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
Good communication in English.

Responsibilities

PM equipment and ensure documentation is completed accurately.
Communicate with Maintenance Lead/Manager about issues.
Respond to operational or technical issues to maximize productivity.
Troubleshoot and repair equipment involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components.
Repair and replace defective motors, gear boxes, clutches, bearings, and electrical systems.
Perform PM on production equipment and facility (pumps, chillers, compressors, etc.).
Fabricate/design machine parts as required.
Install and test high/low voltage circuits on production lines.
Contribute to a safe work environment by following regulations.
