Job summary

Village Coop of Cedar Rapids is seeking a part-time Maintenance Technician to support building upkeep and grounds. Work includes routine maintenance, inspections, and preparing turnover units, with duties ranging from carpentry to HVAC tasks.

Flexible daytime hours, no weekend shifts, and on-site duties at Cedar Rapids location. Responsibilities include logging work, coordinating with contractors, and maintaining safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• One to three years of previous maintenance experience.
• Must have a basic understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Driver's License required.
• Vocational School Technical Training or Associate Degree: HVAC or related.
• Three to five years of previous experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections and document on logs/checklists.
• Coordinate projects/repairs with outside contractors and track timelines.
• Assist in preventive maintenance program development and compliance.
• Perform light electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and custodial tasks as needed.
• Be on-call for maintenance emergencies and provide daily/monthly reports.
