Job summary

Ebenezer is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our senior cooperative team at Village Coop West Des Des Moines in West Des Moines, Iowa. The role focuses on building and property maintenance under supervision, with a part-time schedule, day shift, and no weekend work.

The position emphasizes routine maintenance, coordination with outside contractors, and adherence to preventive maintenance and inspection schedules.

Qualifications

• One to three years of previous experience
• Must have a basic understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Driver's License

Responsibilities

• Performs routine maintenance duties and documents on building logs/checklists
• Schedules and performs assigned work orders within a timely manner
• Assists with preventive maintenance program and ensures compliance with schedule
• Coordinates projects/repairs with outside contractors and ensures timely completion
• Ensures outside contractors perform contracted services per contracts
• Performs pre-REAC inspections and makes necessary repairs to pass inspections
• Performs general repairs using hand/power tools
• Maintains and repairs HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building systems as directed
• Assists with custodial tasks and sets up common areas as needed
• Maintains grounds and snow removal as required
• Provides monthly reports to owner and daily reports to supervisor
