Job summary

Ravago Manufacturing Americas in Baytown, TX seeks a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on process and facility equipment. You will troubleshoot using manuals and diagrams, and work on conveyors, motors, valves, and electrical systems.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in industrial maintenance, basic math, and experience with GMP/Lean principles. OT and rotating shifts may be required; bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma/GED (required)
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in related positions within an industrial environment (required)
• Knowledge of operating, maintaining, and repairing machinery and mechanical systems
• Ability to contribute to a high-performance, team-based work culture
• Must have basic math skills and proficiency with basic maintenance hand tools
• Must be familiar with mechanical maintenance, fabrication, welding, and repair techniques
• Must be able to work overtime or on rotating shifts as required
• Must have knowledge of instrumentation and electrical maintenance
• Knowledge of GMP and Lean Manufacturing principles
• Language: Read, write and speak English (required); bilingual (Spanish) preferred

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair production and facility equipment by performing preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery, motors, conveyors, pneumatic systems, and light electrical equipment
• Troubleshoot equipment issues using technical diagrams, manuals, engineering specifications, and manufacturer instructions
• Utilize CMMS or maintenance software as directed by Maintenance Manager, and prepare maintenance reports
• Identify sources of mechanical issues by observing devices in operation, listening for unusual sounds, and using precision measuring/testing instruments
• Fabricate and weld using stainless steel, carbon steel, and aluminum; know how to use a multimeter
• Repair parts using machine shop techniques and fabrication equipment; change oil, replace filters, and perform preventive maintenance
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment; follow OSHA safety standards and OCS program
• Perform other maintenance-related tasks as assigned by Maintenance Supervisor/Manager
• All other duties as assigned
