Job summary

Designer Brands is seeking a Maintenance Technician for its 700,000 sq. ft. distribution center. You’ll respond to service calls, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems, and perform preventive maintenance on automated material handling equipment.

On-site installation, servicing, and repair of complex systems will be performed with minimal supervision, following safe work practices and detailed instructions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical cert preferred.
• 2+ years maintenance on industrial equipment and conveyors.
• Ability to read drawings, interpret specs, and follow safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service calls and resolve issues on automated material handling systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on conveyors, pneumatics, and electrical components.
• Install, service, and repair equipment with detailed work instructions.
• Document issues and communicate with Facilities Manager and Operations Managers.
• Work with HighJump WMS and related components as needed.
