Job summary

Rinker Materials in Rapid City, SD is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their plant operations. You will perform routine maintenance, identify issues, and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems to keep production flowing.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, machining, and electronics, with 1+ year in manufacturing. A technical degree is preferred and you will work on tall structures with safety gear as needed.

Qualifications

• Business/technical degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
• One plus years’ experience in a manufacturing plant.
• Working knowledge of large machine operation, construction of infrastructure.
• Technical expertise in welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, machining and electronics.
• Ability to provide clear verbal instructions and listen to understand points.
• General computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and databases.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems.
• Conduct inspections to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and plumbing problems.
• Repair or replace faulty components such as motors, switches, and valves.
• Fabricate parts or components as needed.
• Install, maintain, and repair low and high voltage electrical systems.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects and ensure efficient operations.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and resolving maintenance issues promptly.
• Work at heights using manlifts, ladders and safety harnesses.

About the Role

We Require

• Ability to read and apply information fromplans, blueprints, work instructions and equipment manuals. Diagnostic problem solving techniques. Detail orientation.
• Mathematical skills and mechanical abilities to diagnose and solve problems.
• Demonstrated pattern of positive attitude, strong work ethic, and dedication.
• Must have a valid drivers’ license.
