Job summary

Rinker Materials is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the Harrisburg, NC plant to troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems. You will read blueprints, work instructions, plans, and manuals; install, repair, and replace components, and collaborate with a team to keep operations safe and efficient.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing plant.
• Business/technical degree preferred, or equivalent work experience.
• Knowledge of large-machine operation and infrastructure construction.
• Experience with welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, machining, and electronics.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical problems and determine solutions.
• Ability to read blueprints, work instructions, plans, and equipment manuals.
• General computer skills: Excel, Word, Outlook, databases.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN to join our HARRISBURG, NC plant. As a Maintenance Technicianwith Rinker Materials, you will contribute to one of the nation's largest manufacturers of reinforced concrete pipe, box, bridge, and other related infrastructure products for stormwater and sanitary applications.

If you enjoy troubleshooting equipment, working with your hands, and figuring out how to keep machinery running, this may be a good fit for you.

As a Maintenance Technician at our Harrisburg plant, you’ll help keep our equipment and operations running safely and efficiently. You’ll troubleshoot problems, perform repairs and preventive maintenance, and work with mechanical and electrical systems throughout the plant.

Your day-to-day work will include:

• Troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical and electrical problems.
• Performing routine maintenance and equipment repairs.
• Inspecting equipment to identify problems before they become larger issues.
• Repairing or replacing components including motors, switches, and valves.
• Working with hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, machining, and electronics.
• Installing, maintaining, and repairing low- and high-voltage electrical systems.
• Fabricating parts or components when needed.
• Reading and working from blueprints, work instructions, plans, and equipment manuals.
• Partnering with other team members to troubleshoot issues and keep operations moving.
• Working safely at heights when necessary, including using manlifts, ladders, and safety harnesses.
