Job summary

Rinker Materials in Columbus, OH is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our plant operations. The role involves learning all machinery, performing routine maintenance, and addressing issues with guidance from management.

Qualifications

  • Business/technical degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • One plus years’ experience in a manufacturing plant.
  • Working knowledge of large machine operation and construction of infrastructure.
  • Technical expertise in welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, machining and electronics.
  • Ability to provide clear and concise verbal instructions along with the ability to listen and ask questions to understand points made by others.
  • General computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and database systems.
  • Ability to read and apply information from plans, blueprints, work instructions and equipment manuals. Diagnostic/problem-solving techniques. Detail orientation.
  • Mathematical skills and mechanical abilities to diagnose and solve problems.
  • Must have a valid drivers’ license.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various equipment and systems.
  • Conduct inspections to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical, mechanical, and plumbing problems.
  • Repair or replace faulty components, such as motors, switches, and valves.
  • Fabricate parts or components as needed.
  • Install, maintain, and repair low voltage and high voltage electrical systems.
  • Collaborate with other team members to complete projects and ensure efficient operations.
  • Position does require working on tall structures using a manlift, climbing ladders and the use of safety harnesses.

We are looking for a MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN to join our COLUMBUS, OHIO plant. As a Maintenance Technicianwith Rinker Materials, you will contribute to one of the nation's largest manufacturers of reinforced concrete pipe, box, bridge, and other related infrastructure products for stormwater and sanitary applications.

The position will be fornightshift, butwill berequiredto spend 6 monthsor moreondayshiftprior tochanging to this shift. During this time, they willlearn about all machineryand their functionsin the building, and how to address various issueswithassistance/guidance from other maintenanceormanagement.
